If you come here in the winter time, take your skiing equipment with you! Some of the best slopes are situated where east meets west, by the entrance to FjordNorway, next to the Romsdalsfjord and some of the most amazing mountains in Norway. The area is easily accessed, but is still one of the most spectacular skiing destinations! The easy access, the many choices, nearly always good skiing conditions, and the distance from the fjord makes this area unique! In the Romsdal you can find all degrees of difficulty for your skiing trips; everything from cross-country to alpine skiing down steep mountain sides. There are many possibilities. The skiing season usually lasts from December to May. A spring trip should be experienced!
