From Oslo (500 km, 6-7 hours)
Are you coming from the easten part of Norway or by ferry from Kiel/Germany, you can follow the E6 north of Oslo to Dombås. Turn left in direction Åndalsnes E136. From Åndalsnes you follow rv64 to Molde, and here there is a ferry connection between Åfarnes-Sølsnes, which takes about 15 minutes. To Molde from Oslo there is about 500 km, and you will need about 6-7 hours on this trip. Route description Oslo-Molde (Map24)
From Bergen (420 km, 7-9 hours)
Are you driving up the Fjord Norway region, you will have to pass the fjords, for example the Sognefjord, by using one of the many car ferries. From Bergen to Ålesund you can follow the E39 all the way.

From Trondheim (215 km, 3-4 hours)
From north, you can start driving from Trondheim and you will have two alternative tour descriptions:
Alternative 1 via Orkanger (215 km, 3 hours)
From Tronheim you follow E39 via Orkanger. One ferry; Halsa-Kanestraum. This route also includes a toll road; Krifast. Toll road Krifast prices.

Alternative 2 via Oppdal (277 km, 4 hours)
From Trondheim follow the E6 south to Oppdal. Here you turn right to rv70 in direction Sunndalsøra, and further on the rv62 to Molde. This route has no toll roads or ferries.
