At Skaret you can visit horses, goats, wild sheep and rabbits throughout the summer. Ponyriding every day in July and every Sunday 14.00-16.00 the rest of the year. You can book a horse-drawn carriage/sleigh ride all year. There is also a children’s playground.

Food experiences! Our kitchen is widely known for its traditional food. To eat at Skarstua is supposed to be an experience. We conjure up everything from simple home fare to abounding tables. If you wish to be served in a more rough environment, a barbeque by the bonfire in our "lavvo" or "gamme" is recommended.

Good walking trails, running tracks, orienteering, fishing, canoe paddling and children's play area.Rowing boats, canoes and fishing tackle can be hired from Skarstua Tourist Centre. Horseback riding in the school holidays. Skarstua café serves traditional Norwegian food and its "world famous" soft ice cream.
